Q. WHAT ARE THE TRIAL VERSION LIMITATIONS? 
A. In Trial Mode Active Directory Import Export can export 5 Users/Groups/Contacts and unlimited OU’s an unlimited number of times. Importing is limited to 3 times in Trial Mode.

Q. WHAT ARE THE TERMS OF THE LICENSE AGREEMENT?
A. A Single License can be used to Export and Import unlimited Active Directory Objects an unlimited number of times in your domain. 

Q. CAN ACTIVE DIRECTORY IMPORT EXPORT BE USED IN A WINDOWS 2012DOMAIN ENVIRONMENT?
A. Active Directory Import Export is compatible with any Windows Server Domain. Full details are available on our Features List.
A. Active Directory Import Export must be run on the Source Domain Host Controller. It will not function properly in a workstation environment. 

Q. WHAT IS THE LIMIT ATION ON THE NUMBER OF DOMAINS OR EMAILS THAT CAN BE PROCESSED?

Q. WHY AM I UNABLE TO LOGON TO THE TARGET DOMAIN CONTROLER WITH ACTIVE DIRECTORY IMPORT EXPORT? 
A. Active Directory Export must be run on the Target Domain Host Controller to function properly. Other installation locations are not supported.

Q. I HAVE MORE THAN ONE DOMAIN.  DOES A SINGLE LICENSE ALLOW ACTIVE DIRECTORY IMPORT EXPORT TO BE USED WITH ALL OF THE DOMAINS OR JUST ONE?
A. A single license allows the Export of Users and OUs from many domains and the Import into one. This consolidation feature is a key benefit to Active Directory Import Export. 

Q. WHY CAN’T I ACTIVATE MY LICENSE FOR ACTIVE DIRECTORY IMPORT EXPORT?
A. Active Directory Import Export can be licensed using an Internet connection or with the license.dat file sent to you after your purchase of a license. The license.dat file should be copied into the root of the Active Directory Import Export installation folder. Please note: Activation is not required for the Trial Version. Simply click on proceed when the Enter License Information screen appears. 

Q. WHY DIDN’T I RECEIVE MY SERIAL KEY? 
A. If you provided a valid email address but did not yet receive your Serial Key please first check your Spam filter for the email from ActiveDirectoryExport is case it is blocked. Then, if this does not resolve the issue, please contact support at 732-605-7088 Ext. 111 for assistance in receiving your Serial Key and License file. 

Q. ARE THERE ANY DLL’S INSTALLED ON ANY EMAIL SERVERS? 
A. Active Directory Import Export is a standalone software package. The executable does not install any DLL’s or cause interference with Active Directory or Email services. Active Directory Import Export queries Active Directory for Users, Groups, and OU’s without affecting system files or processes. 

Q. IS WINDOWS 2008 64 BIT SERVER COMPATIBLE WITH ACTIVE DIRECTORY IMPORT EXPORT? 
A. Active Directory Import Export works with all versions of Windows Server including 64 bit. For a full list of compatibility please see FEATURES.aspx.

Q. WHY IS ACTIVE DIRECTORY IMPORT EXPORT NOT WORKING ON MY 2008 SERVER? 
A. Active Directory Import Export must be run using an account with Domain Admin rights. Optimally, the Administrator account should be used. User Access Control can also interfere with Active Directory Import Export and should therefore be disabled. For other issues please contact tech support at 732-605-7088 Ext. 111.

Q. WHAT ARE THE RECOMMENDED MINIMUM HARDWARE/SOFTWARE SPECIFCATIONS? 

SOFTWARE:Windows Server 2000/2003/2008 and .net Framework 2.0

HARDWARE: At least 1.6 GHz Processor, 512 MB Ram, and 1GB of available hard drive space

A. To maintain account security the Windows Server Platform restrictsAD passwords from being exported. Active Directory Import Export provides an option to add a default password during the Import process to the target domain.
